Lieutenant Josiah Douglas is one of the Hemet Police Department’s Operations Lieutenant’s and oversees:

Lieutenant Josiah Douglas began his law enforcement career in 1999 when he graduated from the police academy and was hired by the Hemet Police Department. Lieutenant Douglas has spent the entirety of his career with the Hemet Police Department and has held the following assignments:
- Patrol
- Field Training Officer (FTO)
- Detective Bureau
- Master Taser Instructor and Force Options Simulator Instructor
- Field Training Officer Program Coordinator
- Training Review Board Supervisor
- Board Member for REACH (Formally Known as CASA)
- 2007 – Assigned to the Detective Bureau as a Detective
- 2012 – Promoted to Corporal and assigned to Patrol as a Field Supervisor
- 2012 – Assigned to the Detective Bureau as a Corporal
- 2014 – Assigned to Patrol as a Field Supervisor
- 2016 – Promoted to Sergeant and assigned to Patrol as a Watch Commander
- 2020 – Assigned to the Professional Standards Bureau as a Supervisor
- 2024 – Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Patrol
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice (In-progress) from Columbia Southern University
- Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Riverside City College
- Graduate of the California Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) Management Course
