K-9 Angel came to the Hemet Police Department in September of 2021. K9 Angel is a 2-year-old Labrador that has completed training at the Guide Dogs of the Desert and placed with the Hemet Police Department through their “Support K-9 program.”
K9 Angel has a unique mission as part of the Hemet Police Department K-9 family; she addresses our mental health as a support companion. K-9 Angel is trained to support during crisis intervention, victim/witness interviews, and mental wellness. K-9 Angel lives at the Hemet Police Department and has the freedom to roam the station and its surrounding property while bringing a wagging tail and lots of joy to all our employees, volunteers, citizens, and victims of crime.
K-9 Angel has been generously gifted a gated living area, many toys, and goodies by the Hemet Police Department K-9 Foundation, Talley Metal Supply, and the Hemet Police Department. K9 Angel is playful, eager to comfort, and a great four-legged companion whose mission is essential to the well-being of the community and the Hemet Police Department.
