Hemet, Calif. — On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at approximately 9:28 pm, the Hemet Public Safety Communication Center received a 911 call stating his mother was just stabbed by her boyfriend near the 1400 block of East Menlo Avenue. As officers arrived on scene, it was determined there were two victims that the same male suspect had stabbed.
The suspect, 36-year-old Miguel Pimentel of Hemet, had fled on foot and was believed to still be in the mobile home park. Hemet PD officers, along with members of the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force and the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Aviation Unit, conducted an extensive search but were unsuccessful in locating him.
The Hemet Fire Department and American Medical Response (AMR) personnel relieved Hemet PD officers that were rendering life-saving aid to the victims. EMS personnel advised the mother suffered from multiple stab wounds, with the second victim, a 15-year-old male, also suffering numerous stab wounds that were not life-threatening. Both victims were taken to a local hospital; as of this morning, both victims were in stable condition.
