Over 40 Law Enforcement Agencies Launch “Operation Holiday Cheer” to Celebrate Healthcare First Responders Across Southern California
Hemet, California – On Monday and Tuesday, December 18th and 19th, over 40 law enforcement agencies from San Bernardino, Riverside, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties will travel on an all-day trek to drive by every hospital in the region to show appreciation for doctors, nurses, and staff who spend their holidays taking care of others. Now in its third year, “Operation Holiday Cheer” has grown significantly to include over 100 peace officers – as well as Santa Claus – who will cover an area of over 475 miles, or nearly one-third of California. Participating agencies will fill the parking lot of each hospital with lights and sirens to show the law enforcement community’s appreciation of their fellow first responders and bring smiles to patients who need a little extra Christmas spirit.
