The Hemet Police Department is aware of an upcoming protest in our city. We want to assure the community that we are committed to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved. To that end, an increased number of officers will be present to help facilitate a safe and orderly event. The Hemet community expects the Police Department to keep them safe and to maintain peace during this time, and we are dedicated to fulfilling that responsibility.
As I mentioned earlier this week, citizens have the right to express their views and exercise their constitutional rights, and we will be there to support that right.
However, we also want to make it clear that any attempts to incite violence, vandalize property, or engage in criminal activity will not be tolerated. There will be zero tolerance for destruction or disorderly conduct. Anyone who commits a crime will be arrested and held accountable. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment during this event.
We encourage everyone to exercise their rights responsibly and peacefully.

El Departamento de Policía de Hemet está al tanto de una próxima protesta en nuestra ciudad. Queremos asegurar a la comunidad nuestro compromiso con el mantenimiento de la paz y la seguridad de todas las personas involucradas. Para ello, se incrementará la presencia de un número mayor de oficiales para facilitar un evento seguro y ordenado. La seguridad de nuestra comunidad es nuestra principal prioridad y nos comprometemos a garantizar un entorno pacífico y seguro durante este evento.
