Hemet, Calif. — On October 10, 2024, the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force (Region 3) and Central P.A.C.T. (Post-release Accountability & Compliance Team) executed a large- scale joint operation in the cities of Hemet, San Jacinto and surrounding areas. The operation focused on compliance checks and warrant services on those on parole, probation, mandatory supervision, and post-release community supervision (PRCS).
The operation involved approximately 125 law enforcement officers from the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force (Region 1-Coachella Valley, Region 2-Banning/Beaumont, Region 3-Hemet/San Jacinto, Region 4-Murrieta/Temecula, Region 6-Perris, and Region 7-Jurupa Valley/Corona/Norco), Central P.A.C.T., East P.A.C.T., Lake Elsinore Special Enforcement Team, Menifee Special Enforcement Team, Murrieta Special Enforcement Team, Hemet PD A.E.R.O. Team, Riverside County Probation, California State Parole, California Highway Patrol, California Highway Patrol K-9, Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept., and Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. Correctional Nursing staff.
As a result of the operation, over 150 locations were searched to ensure compliance with release terms. In total, 26 individuals were arrested and booked into county jail for a variety of offenses. During these searches, teams seized several illegal substances to include methamphetamine and fentanyl. Officers also located drug paraphernalia, weapons, and ammunition, all illegal to be possessed while on probation or parole. Additionally, a stolen vehicle and other stolen property were recovered during the operation.
