Hemet, CA — The Hemet Police Department is excited to invite the community to its upcoming Autism Acceptance & Resource Fair, a free and inclusive event designed to promote understanding, connection, and access to services for individuals and families affected by autism.
Date & Time: Saturday, April 12th, 2025
Location: 200 N. Harvard Street, Hemet CA (Rear of the Hemet Public Library)
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
This event is more than just a fair—it’s a celebration of neurodiversity and an opportunity to build relationships between the community and local first responders. Attendees will have access to valuable resources, sensory activities, and educational demonstrations in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Highlights Include:
- On-Scene Special Needs Registry Booth
Families can register loved ones with special needs in Hemet PD’s confidential database, helping officers respond with care and awareness in emergency situations. - Live Demonstrations:
Enjoy exciting demonstrations by martial artists, Hemet PD’s K9 unit, and our Drone Team. - Touch-a-Truck Experience:
Kids can explore real police vehicles, fire trucks, and other city vehicles in a fun, hands-on way. - Sensory-Friendly Activities:
A dedicated calm area and sensory-friendly stations ensure everyone can enjoy the event comfortably. - Community Resources:
Local organizations and service providers will be on-site to share tools, information, and support available to families. - Raffle Prizes & Family Fun:
Participate in giveaways, enjoy interactive booths, and make meaningful memories with your community.
