CHIEF EDDIE PUST

Chief Eddie Pust is the current chief of police for the Hemet Police Department.

As chief of police, he is responsible for the direction the department takes into the future, overall management of the command staff, and reporting to the city manager.

He was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police in 2019.

Chief Eddie Pust began his career with the City of Hemet Police Department in 1996.

  • 1999 - Assigned to a multi-agency narcotic task force, where had worked with many allied agencies at the local, state and federal level
  • 2003 - Assigned to develop the crime suppression unit
  • 2006 - Promoted to corporal and assigned as a field supervisor
  • 2011 - Promoted to sergeant and assigned as a watch commander
  • 2014 - Promoted to lieutenant and oversaw the patrol operations bureau, public safety dispatch center, and the investigations bureau
  • 2018 - Promoted to captain and oversaw the patrol division, investigations bureau, field training program, special operations unit, gang task force, and the crime suppression unit
  • 2019 - Promoted to chief of police

Captain Brock is the operations captain and oversees the following areas of the Hemet Police Department:

Captain Glen Brock began his law enforcement career with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1998. While at the LAPD, Captain Brock worked in various assignments such as patrol, crime suppression, and juvenile narcotics.

Captain Brock transferred to the Hemet Police Department in 2006, and has held the following assignments:

  • 2011 - Promoted to corporal assigned to patrol
  • 2013 - Promoted to sergeant assigned as a patrol watch commander
  • 2017 - Promoted to lieutenant assigned to the support services division

Captain Jeff Davis started his career with the City of Hemet Police Department in 1993. He spent about 13 years assigned to Patrol where he had collateral duties such as Canine Handler, Field Training Officer, and Special Operations Unit Operator.

  • 2004 - Assisgned to the Youth Accountability Team
  • 2006 - Promoted to corporal and was assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit
  • 2011 - Promoted to sergeant assigned to the patrol bureau
  • 2013 - Assigned to the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 3 (Hemet San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force) and supervised a multi-agency team comprised of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers
  • 2016 - Promoted to lieutenant and assigned the Operations Division, which included the Patrol and Communications Bureaus, the Special Operations Unit, and the Canine Program
  • 2018 - Transferred to the Investigations Division
  • 2020 - Promoted to captain, assisgned to Operations

Lt. Eric Dickson currently oversees the community services bureau, which includes:

  • R.O.C.S. (Restoring Our Community Strategy) Team
  • Traffic Bureau
  • School Resource Officers
  • P.A.C.T. (Post Release Accountability Compliance Team)
  • Office of Professional Standards (IA)
  • 2000 – Selected as a Field Training Officer (FTO)
  • 2000 – Selected as a member of the TARGET Team: a proactive enforcement team tasked with directed enforcement in problem areas and with developing enforcement strategies consistent with the Community Oriented Policing model
  • 2003 – Selected as one of the original members of the Crime Suppression Unit. Primary area of responsibility was the identification of gang members / trends, and the investigation of gang crimes
  • 2003 – Selected as a negotiator for the Crisis Negotiations Team (C.N.T.)
  • 2004 – Promoted to corporal and assigned as a field supervisor in the patrol bureau
  • 2006 – Promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the patrol bureau as a watch commander
  • 2009 – Transferred to Professional Standards / Internal affairs. Duties included investigation of personnel complaints, risk management, and department liaison to the City’s Development Review Committee
  • 2009 – Selected as the leader of the Crisis Negotiations Team
  • 2011 – Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the operations bureau. Oversaw the traffic bureau, canine teams and the patrol division 
  • 2012 – Tasked with forming the initial ROCS (Restoring Our Community Strategy) Team and re-establishing the Crime Suppression Unit. Was also tasked with oversight of the Gang Taskforce and the Post release Accountability and Compliance Team (PACT)
  • 2018 – With the reorganization of the department: assigned to oversee the Community Services Bureau to include: ROCS, PACT, the Traffic Bureau, School Resource Officers (SRO’s), the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), and the office of Professional Standards / IA

Lieutenant Nate Miller began his law enforcement career in 1992 with the San Jacinto Police Department. Lieutenant Miller has been a resident of Hemet since the mid 1970’s and attended K-12 schooling in Hemet. He and his family have been residents of the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley for over 40 years.

During his law enforcement career, he has had the opportunity to work a variety of assignments and has led several different divisions, such as:

  • Recruiting Team Coordinator

  • Member of the department’s major incident response teams

After serving 9 years in the United States Marine Corps, Lieutenant Arellano began his law enforcement career with the San Diego Police Department in 2003. While at the SDPD, Lieutenant Arellano was assigned to the Southeastern Division where he worked patrol and the crime suppression team.

Lieutenant Arellano transferred to the Hemet Police Department in 2006, and has held the following assignments:

MR. DALE DIGIAMBATTISTA

Mr. Dale Digiambattista is the public safety support services manager for the Hemet Police Department. He is responsible for the:

  • Emergency Communications Center

Mr. Digiambattista was a dispatcher for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for about 16 years.

He has taught dispatch related public safety courses as an adjunct instructor with Riverside Community College. Since 2015, he has served on the executive board for the Southern California Chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO).
